John Newman Trunion Mount Swage block:
This is a beautifully designed general purpose and artist blacksmith block made to be easy to manipulate.
The typical swage block of 200 or 300 pounds (90 to 140kg) is difficult to move and requires stands with different levels to support the block at a convienient height.
The trunnion block rotates easily to present every feature with lifting the block. The trunnion idea is an old one.
