Thick Industrial Swage Block:
This is a typical industrial swages block other than the fact that it is proportionatly thicker than usual (over 5" (127mm)).
It is a well designed industrial block with no excessively weak corners.
The large heavy use features are places toward the center of the faces so that they do not weaken the block.
The cored holes keep the average thickness of the block fairly uniform but could have been arranged better.
