Modern Artist Blacksmith Block:
This small but heavy block is one of several artist blacksmith blocks found in Dean Curfman's Oak Hill Ironworks.
The block is approximately 4" x 6" x 8" and weighs about 46 pounds.
It has deep and shallow bowls, spoon molds and several tapered half rounds for shaping tapered sockets.
Note the heavily rounded corners.
This block design may have been influenced by the popular rectangular Greenwood block
