Old Industrial Swage block:
This is a stout well designed industrial block with no weak corners and limited over thick sections and no too thin sections.
Well designed blocks often avoid progressivly arranged features in order to avoid weak corners.
From the catalog page below we now know this is a 14" 160 pound block made as early as 1892.
